I have shown many things that I am capable and talked about games but I have never shown my gaming setup.
I call it my Nigerian gaming setup because I stay in Nigeria and there are not really so many Nigerian gaming setups out there so this article also helps put Nigeria has part of the gaming community worldwide.
You think Nigeria doesn’t have a gaming community or gaming presence, you are mistaken, Check out Nigeria’s largest online gaming community I know.

My Nigerian Gaming Setup
This is a humble gaming setup because I am just starting out, I will keep on building it.
My Nigerian Gaming Setup is a hybrid setup combining both the Sony PlayStation 4 with a keyboard and mouse almost PC gaming style.

So, what’s really on that table? I’m sure you can see some things and guess the others.Don’t stress yourself, I would write a detailed description of everything, basic functions and their respective prices.
1.BenQ RL2455HM Gaming Monitor
I have upgraded to the BenQ RL2455HM. The best e-Sport competitive gaming monitor in the market.
Akai SIGNEO was my old television.
I will be upgrading to an ASUS VG245Hwhich is the best budget gaming monitor in 2017 under $200.
2. Sony PlayStation 4
I bought this console last year and I am really enjoying it. I was previously a console player but with the ever-changing money intensive new laptops and their respective GPU’s I couldn’t keep up with them so I decided to get a console it was obviously going to be a Sony PlayStation 4 because of exclusive game access and I prefer it to Xbox One.
I also did research on the controversial topic: PS4 vs Xbox One. You can get nice deals for the Sony PlayStation 4 on eBay.
You can buy your Sony PlayStation at a discounted price below:
3. XIM 4
XIM4 Keyboard Mouse Converter for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3. XIM4 provides the highest precision mouse and keyboard (and more) experience on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 (PS3). Unsurpassed by quality, ease-of-use, and flexibility, XIM is the perfect companion to the even most demanding gamer. For more information visit the official XIM4 website.
The XIM4 has personally closed the gap between my poor/moderate internet connection and my high input lags from controllers. Using the XIM has really changed my level while playing first-person shooter games like Call of duty, Battlefield.
I am constantly called a hacker which I find amusing because of how I bad the odds were against me but with the XIM technology I am able to compete with people with the perfect internet connection, scuff controllers, professional gaming headset, chairs and 1ms low-input lag gaming monitors.
4. Logitech G502 Proteus Core Optical Gaming Mouse
Logitech G502 Proteus Core Tunable Gaming Mouse with Fully Customizable Surface, Weight and Balance Tuning for serious gamers.
I am glad I bought this mouse because it has just been perfect with its high precision which makes my first-person shooter gaming experience worthwhile. With the mouse, I got my highest kill/death ratio (KD) of 2.50 in Call of Duty WW2 and I am just a casual player.
5. Mechanical Keyboard by Smaat
This is a generic mechanical keyboard, any keyboard would work for this setup. No real specs are required for this but I have realised something over my course of using this Nigerian gaming setup.
I should have bought a smaller sized keyboard, something not too long because most of the time, the area of focus is just around the WASD keys, Shift and Space.
6. Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Generation)
I upgraded to a business ultrabook laptop, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon which is not for gaming but more of research, blogging, image editing using photoshop and occasionally some light after effect motion graphics work.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Specs
- Intel Core i7-4600U with CPU running @2.10-2.69 GHz
- 8GB DDR3 RAM
- 256GB SSD
- Windows 10
I previously owned the Dell XPS L502x was my first Gaming Laptop and I’ve been using this die-hard-monster laptop since 2013 and it still works great running normal software. I don’t run PC games on it anymore.
My Dell XPS L502x Laptop runs with the following specifications;
- Intel Core i7 -2670QM @2.20Ghz
- 16GB DDR3 RAM
- Nvidia 540M with 1GB dedicated graphics
- 500GB Hard disk drive
- Windows 10
You can get it for a good price on eBay.
7. Poweradd Pilot Pro 32000mAh Laptop Power Bank
Poweradd Pilot Pro 32000mAh Power Bank is very useful for keeping both my smartphone and laptop alive when there’s no power. It lasts for 3 days without charging when used with smartphones alone and when using my laptop, it charges it twice before battery depletes.
I ordered this from eBay and I have been using it since 2015. Buy this power bank to always stay online and updated.
8. Routers & MiFi
I currently have two routers in this setup both are Huawei routers and are used for different functions. I mainly use my MiFi device with my smartphones as a mobile on-the-go personal WiFi.
Using the best routers can make a lot of difference but what makes the most difference? Your internet service provider, so no matter how good your router is, if your internet provider is crap, everything becomes crap, your NAT is crap, your upload/download speed is crap and so on. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy the best routers.
9. Smartphones & Headphones
